This wasn’t the project I’d originally planned on posting today, but the quote on my chalkboard made it appropriate for St. Patrick’s Day!
Being neither Irish nor Catholic, I will admit that I don’t see a lot of point in St. Patrick’s day…so that chalkboard is the extent of my St. Patrick’s day decorating! But we may have something with cabbage in it for dinner.
The family that bought this Farmhouse Table commissioned me to make a buffet / console table for them as well. I used Ana White’s Rustic X Console table plan, although without the X’s or the decorative hardware.
I also shortened the table down to 64”. As the plan was written, it was almost the same length as I made the Farmhouse table, and we thought it would look better if they were a little different.
There is just something about this old-looking, scarred wood that captivates me, especially when paired with simple white dishes.
It looks great as a buffet, but I also think it would make a great behind-the-couch table, holding blankets and board games.
My daughter thought we ought to keep it!
**That’s high praise from a teenager. **

Your furniture is looking awesome, I'm very impressed! Love the chalkboard! :)
Korrie that's a beauty. Is it pine or did you use some other rescued boards? I sure hope they paid a pretty penny for all your hard work, it's well worth it!!!
Great buffet, Korrie! I love the look of it.
I LOVE the buffet. Where can I find out about ordering one?
Love the Buffet, Korrie!
You did an awesome job building this.

Wow Korrie, that buffet is just beautiful - very Restoration Hardware. And just when good furniture is getting so hard to find, you've solved the problem by making your own! Way to go girl!
Your buffet looks beautiful! It would look great as a console table! Nicely done!
Can your husband use power tools? If so put him to work for you and he can quit his other job - your side job is amazing, soon you will need to hire help!

love the buffet table. im redoing my kitchen an dining room and you just inspired me to make something like this!
That buffet is so lovely! I would have wanted to keep it, too!!!
WOW! You are seriously talented! looks great!
You did a great job on the buffet! You're right....my teens wouldn't notice something new unless it blocked the TV or the fridge! high praise indeed!
This is beautiful. I love that framed chalk board !

I'm with your daughter! Are you going to keep it?? I say this only because if it were for sale I'd feel bad because there isn't any room in my house for it even though I desperately want it! I need a bigger house...... or less kids..... and with the kids leaving..... I'm thinking I'd rather have a bigger house than the kids leaving......
That buffet would also look cute in a guest bedroom with soaps and water and treats and extra quilts and some yummy books....... :D I definitely need a bigger house!
Love this whole look! The frame on your chalk board is wonderful too. Perfect with your white potter. :)
Have a great week!

Korrie this is beautiful! I'd have a hard time creating this and "giving it up"!

Great piece...I would have been tempted to keep it too :)
Korrie- nice job on the buffet! Very rustic and the staging for the photos were nice too. I've been a fan for a while now, and your stuff is AMAZING :)

this is absolutely beautiful! I want one!!!!
Great job!
It's gorgeous, Korrie! I have the same taste (my white dishes on a rustic buffet) but it's not DIY and yours is fabulous! Love it! I'm including a link back in this week's highlights! ;) Thanks so much for sharing your creativity!
Very nice! this makes me want to reconsider my plan for more closed up storage for extra dishes. Although with a baby in the house, I'd probably regret it when he started walking! I'll file it away for when he's older, though :)
I am loving all your built furniture! Especially this buffet you did. I am so wanting to sell my current buffet and have something rustic in its place. I am inspired! I hope you will stop by Thursday and share some of your fabulousness at my party. Thursday afternoon-Sunday night. -K
Beautiful!
