Lighten up!

I truly love this 15-pane window that I have hanging on my kitchen wall. I usually try to change it up a few times over the course of the year, but I’ve wanted to do something a little lighter and brighter for a while now.

So after Christmas, I just left my funky twiggy garland and some red beads hanging up for a while…

January 005

…until one day the mood STRUCK and I got out the paintbrush! I slapped two shades of white on, sanded lightly, and glazed it with some dark brown stain…

…added a little Valentine’s day sign: “Be Mine Forever”…

I love how it sounds like a command!

Valentine's 158

…and I think I like the new look! How about you?

Love it! I'm partial to the old distressed look. I'm sure it has brightened up the space too.

Love the new look! And, I think the twigs and beads actually stand out more. I really like the contrast between the white and the twigs.

Love it!!! The white looks grand. My cousin has been looking for a window like that. She wants to put pictures of her family in them. She keeps asking me if I've found one for her....if I find one, I think I'll want to keep it! Love the change you made.

Me likey! We own a 1916 building that we are renovating and it has the most amazing windows that we replaced. I used some at Halloween and I'm itching to do one for the house. Soon....

How very timely! I just bought a big ol' window at the ReStore last week and was wondering what to do with it. I was trying to think of something to go behind it, but I like yours just the way it is.

I love everything about the window frame. I have one hanging in my kitchen and two more out in the garage that I need to figure out what to do with.

Can you have too many of them hanging?

I like it. White paint covers a multitude of sins, and it just looks awesome.
