My love affair with numbers on furniture is well-documented!
One of my earliest projects was a numbered--and lettered--desk and chair (click on images to be taken to the blog post):
Then there have been several sets of barstools:
A couple of tables (Roman numerals still count!):
…and even a chest of drawers.
So although I fell head over heels for this set of old wooden folding chairs at my favorite consignment shop last fall,
…I thought they could be improved a little—with numbers.
Yes, this is what I do with the nervous energy that remains after the holidays!
These chairs have been featured at It’s So Very Cheri and {Primp}!

I love how you personalize everything! I have some children's chairs a customer just bought. I'm hoping I can talk her into numbering them. Your chairs look perfect! Deb

You know, it works! No surprise there! At least you are putting your nervous energy towards something productive. I'm putting all of mine towards eating all of the junk so I won't be tempted by it next week....... I could just throw it away.....

ReplyDeleteWhat the heck is it with the numbers? I think it's the graphics... I love graphics especially black and white. I love your chairs... I found 8 old wooden folding chairs on the side of the road with "Bentley" stenciled on the back of each... They remind me of yours!

ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how adding the numbers really gives the pieces a fresh facelift.
ReplyDeleteI've got a couple of pieces in the paint line-up, Korrie, but I need to get my Christmas stuff away first. I know that if I start anything I'll never get it done and this is the weekend to get back to normal! Those folding chairs were a great find and I like how you put the numbers off to the corner.
ReplyDeleteLove those chairs! The numbers just make them perfect! Great work as always!
