I have tried my hand at a few different image transfer methods, but I haven’t been terribly successful. After several failed attempts, I used my overhead projector method to make this set of bar stools:
…but I was never terribly happy with them.
THESE, however….
…turned out much more like what I had in mind!
The images all came courtesy of the Graphics Fairy.
I painted the bases of the stools with DIY chalk paint.
…and I made the image transfers with my inkjet printer and a transparency sheet!
…more on that to come!

They look great! I love them! Do you have a post that I missed on transparency sheet transfers? Thanks for sharing and I love your paint!
Oops, I see the link at the top of the post!
I love these! I hope you will share them at Restyled Sunday's.
They turned out wonderful!Warm Blessings!~Amy
They turned out great, Korrie! I just ordered a tool that Dee at Lapin Life uses for her transfers and I'm looking forward to trying that out. I kind of gave up on the other methods I read about when they just didn't work for me {and I'm sure it was me that was the issue}.
Looks great... can't wait to see how you did these. I love the graphics you used.
Hugs, Deb
Oh, I love those! I can't wait for the "how-to" becauase I have 3 barstools that need some tlc in a bad way.
I can't wait to hear what works as I have a round table waiting for this technique. Thanks for sharing and inspiring me.
Can't wait to see how you did those image transfers! LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!

Ooh I do like those. That does look better. Well done Korrie for keeping at it. I'd have thrown them in the wood stove and moved on. Patience isn't my thing. :D
I love the rustic look of these! Great job!
Love these. can't wait to hear more on your technique.
I just adore those graphics and used a few of them myself! They look awesome on these barstools!
They turned out great! I can't wait to see how you did the transfers. I have some yucky blonde oak barstools that I want to redo, but haven't had any great ideas..maybe I can do something like this. I was thinking of doing a vintage number on each, 1-4. Anyway, great job!
Those are awesome!
I love it.
I think you need to give a blog tour of your cute house!
You are so creative.
Love, love the stools. I have wanted to do one for so long. I have the stool, but don't know how to do it. Thanks for sharing. Oh, I am a new follower, and if your give-away is still going count me in. Today I am thankful for erasers. . I make so many mistakes, it is good to be able to erase. Hugs, Karie
Your stools are amazing! I love the French graphics you used! I've tried the Mod Podge image transfer, and was never successful with it either. Great job!!
Oh I love your stools. I am planning on using one of the same images on my dining room chair cushions. The Graphics Fairy is just amazing to share so many great images.
I am visiting from Mod Mix Monday and am now a follower.
They look awesome Korrie. Very frenchy.
I want to hear all about how you did this. These came out fantastic...awesome as usual!
What fantastic work, Korrie. It's hard to believe you ever have any "failures."
They look great! I've been reading about printer copy transfers~I can't wait to see what method you used.
These look beautiful --- I really want to try the printer transfers now!
Blessings, Becky
Cute! :D I'd also like it with the seat painted white and the black writing on it. ^_^
Hi, Korrie
I just love your stools. They are just lovely. I found your blog from Mod Vintage Life link party. I love looking around. I am a new follower as well. Love for you to stop by www.homesweetbutterfly.com
Have a great week.

OOO, I want some like this so bad I could just spit.
I don't have any of the things you mentioned...I can get the graphics from THE FAIRY but no way to get them on my stools.
These are so darling.

"More on that to come..." What? Are you kidding me? I need to know how to do it nooooooooooooow! JK. But seriously, I really do look forward to the tutorial. I just bought a very ugly stool for $1.95 from a thrift store last week and this is exactly what I want to do with it. Robyn
Very cute! I've never done a transfer before, but now I'm inspired!
these are awesome : )
LOVE these! I'll be keeping an eye out at the thrift stores for stools!
Did you figure out an easy transfer method?? Spill! I need one! I have a pillow with that chocolate saying...I love the graphics fairy. These turned out so great! Love 'em.
Your bar stools look terrific.
Dee
They look great, waiting for more to come!
Debbie
Love your bar stools! I have been thinking of doing mine something like these, I too have been playing around with transfering, and not having too much luck, looking forward to seeing how you did it, they look great! I'm visiting from primp your stuff party, I'm #170, and now one of your followers!
I love them. they look great xx
I just found your blog via My Repurposed Life...great makeover on the stools.
I too am looking forward to your "how-to" because I am looking for an easier transfer "method". I have used graphite paper and a Sharpie, but it is much more difficult to do on small designs. I will be back to check it out!
I love those stools! Yes, definitely want to see the "how-to". I have done a lot of stencils, but not any transfers.
LOVE them!! You do such interesting things and these stools are perfection.
