It has been an eventful week here at the Red Hen Home! Just a week ago, I shared the news that my family is moving to Seattle. Yesterday I sent my husband off on the long drive so he can start his new job on Monday. But before that…after only six days on the market…we sold our house!
Some of you may have been with me a year ago when we tried to sell our house…and it didn’t take! Although we did receive one offer, we weren’t able to come to an agreement with the potential buyers. So we made up our minds to be happy where we were…and we have been.
We chose to invest a lot of time, money, and attention in our home over the past several months. We put up a wall in the basement to create additional storage, repainted the main level of the house and bought some beautiful new furniture, remodeled the laundry room, and built a workshop.
Is it hard to leave all that behind?
Oh, yeah baby.
But if it has to happen, we are so grateful that we were able to sell quickly. Now the search for the new Red Hen Home begins in earnest!
Wish us luck!

ReplyDeleteIf I had had to buy a home in your area, I would have bought it for the shop area alone!! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteWow that is quite a home. I noticed you had cleared alot of personal items away which I've heard is the best way to sell your home. 6 days? That is incredible, CONGRATS. You must have worked you fanny off keeping your home looking so perfect. Worth all the work tho if you sell it that quickly. So happy for you so you can join your hubs in Seattle. Yippee. What an incredible journey and adventure for all of you.
