I love poinsettias! My husband and I got married in December (our 17th anniversary is almost here!), and my wedding bouquet was evergreens and poinsettias. I love them in all their variations…red, pink, white, variegated, and everything in between. There is an amazing greenhouse not too far from us (J&J Nursery) that grows acres of poinsettias every year, and I happily spend an hour…or two… there each year choosing a few favorites to bring home with me.
This year, I bought poinsettias to dress up the suitcase wall (in red, pink, white, and variegated!)…
…they have to share space with my small collection of reindeer (since I sold the bookshelves that were there home last year!)
The gold reindeer is this year’s addition to the collection—I found him at Tai-Pan Trading.
But mostly I don’t even remember where they came from anymore!
A few glittery birds perch on the suitcases as well. I am a sucker for fat birds!
Here’s hoping I can keep my beautiful poinsettias alive all the way through January!

Gorgeous wall! How did I miss this? I want to peek into the suitcases to see what is inside! At least play with the buckles... :) Love it.
Looks really good, Korrie! My husband would knock everything off the wall in one trip! I hope it all stays put. Were you clever and glued everything down? With all your chicks, I bet you did. : )
The Christmas apron giveaway ends tomorrow night if you're feeling lucky!
That is soooo COOL! We should do a well like that in the retail stores :). Next time you stop by, ask someone to call me 'cause I'd love to meet you in person!!!
Wow...what a great idea! My daughter loves old suitcases, so I'm definitely going to show your post to her!
Thank you for sharing!
I'm absolutely in love with that suitcase wall! How very inventive :-) Any DIY involving old suitcases gets me excited!

Your wall looks AMAZING!!!
It looks great, and you have all of my favorite things! Reindeer, suitcases and poinsettias....Beautiful!
I so need to get my rear in gear and get inspired! Since we missed the window for going and getting a fresh tree we have to put up our fake one this year and arrrgh! Just not feeling it!
Sarah was here this weekend and showed us how to make the funnest snowflakes to hang from my ceilings. Very easy, cute, and cheap. :)
I've always been intimidated by poinsettias. I just know one of my derelict dogs will eat the leaves and die! :) Hmmmmm. JUST KIDDING!!!
This looks so COOL! Those suitcase shelves are perfect for Holiday displays, I know I would be decorating them all the time.
You dressed them up beautifully, Korrie! I love poinsettias too and ususally would get one or two. Your wedding bouquet sounds like it was just lovely. Happy Anniversary! : )
I want those reindeer!! They are so much better than what Micheal's sells. Maybe they'll make an appearance at Tai Pan again?
What a lovely setting for your reindeer!! Great job!
Your suitcase wall is beautiful dressed in poinsettias and reindeer!!

Love your blog! I was so impressed by your furniture refinishing that I've taken your ideas and created my own table:

Just finished it this morning, and so I had to post about it.
I love your ideas!
It looks beautiful with your poinsettias, reindeer, and chubby birds. I love poinsettias, too. Maybe because I was a Christmas baby.

That's such a gorgeous display, Korrie! It gives me all kinds of ideas. :)
Your award winning suitcases should win another award for cute decorated suitcases! It was such a clever idea to begin with and now they look special with the deer display.

I love you suitcases and the wall looks amazing! I was so drawn to this that I had to look up the tutorial for the shelfs. Thank you for shareing!
Those suitcases are simply beautiful all decked out for the holidays. That wall continues to be my all time favorite.
I love the suitcases decorated for the holiday! They're so cute! The Poinsettias really add a pop of color! I agree, with Rose, this is one of my favorite projects!
I loved the new wall shelving before, but this is just so pretty in the holiday theme!!
